Highly Recommended

My wife and I are currently staying here with our 5 year old grandson and our two dogs and we could not have wished for anything better.

The bays are large and surrounded by shady trees. One thing I really loved is that many of the bays are drive through, and you are allowed to park your van in theses bays in the direction you prefer. This means that if you are travelling with friends or family in two vans, you can park them side by side in adjoining bays with the van awnings facing each other thereby greatly improving the social aspect and the under awning living areas.

There is an abundance of bird life in the surrounding trees and we wake every morning to a chorus of birds singing…Every evening we are treated to symphony of kookaburras laughing in the trees right next to our van.

The park manager and caretaker are super friendly and helpful and regularly keep in contact to make sure everything is going OK with our stay.

The park is only 2.5km from the centre of York town, which being WA’s oldest inland town, is steeped in history. It is a beautiful town to explore and the park is the perfect base from which to do so.

My grandson is loving it here so much he says he never wants to leave to go back home.

Coops Caravan

Big Shady Drive through Caravan Bays

We picked up our first caravan on Saturday afternoon, and by dinner time we were set up in the caravan park – having phoned through just a couple of hours before to make a booking. It was dark by the time we turned up so we were really happy to get a cheery welcome and super happy that the caravan bays were large and drive through. We could have had the fire pit going if we’d wanted – but the van needed exploring inside.

What a treat we had when the sun came up in the morning – a tidy and quiet caravan park with lots of mature shady trees – lots of tables and chairs around – the BBQ was busy. The shower and toilet block was functional, clean, and there was tons of hot water – no complaints at all. A late check out was no probs, so we were able to explore York for the day and roll out around 3:30pm.

Would we go back again – absolutely yes. Would we recommend it to our friends – absolutely yes.

Thanks guys.

Great Stay

We originally booked a caravan site, but after car problems we took our swag instead. We went for the York medieval festival. There was no problem with changing our booking to a tent site.

The park is quite big, lots of room & bonus grassed area for tents. The amenities, though basic, were clean. The campers kitchen is well equipped, with all the usual things. Friendly staff in the office. I didn’t notice if there was a shop there, but it’s only about 3km out of town.

It was very quiet when we were there, just before school holidays, so don’t know how busy it gets later on. The park has a lovely “bush” feeling about it.

The rates were very reasonable, we would definitely go there again.
